About Me
My hometown is not really a town. It’s an enormous landlocked city, Mexico City. When I was 12 years old I moved to Ohio to go to boarding school, a farm school in the middle of nowhere. As the years passed I continued to move around the United States.
I got a degree in Broadcast Journalism and, believe it or not, I worked as a Spanish TV News reporter for 4 years. I was pretty good at it, even won an Emmy, but it wasn't the job I wanted. So I quit and solo travelled for 6 months in Europe and Africa. After the backpacking trip that kickstarted my healing journey, I took a seasonal serving job in Beaver Creek, CO. When that was over, I moved to Hawaii and ended up getting a job on a 50’ catamaran. We would take tourists snorkeling during the day and swimming with manta rays at night. That has been one of the most enjoyable jobs I’ve ever had.

I fell in love with the ocean and the wind and the sailing, so I decided that I wanted to continue being on boats. Then, life did what life does, and I ended up meeting Mike, a boat captain. Now, we live a nomadic life together in a 30ft sailboat that we purchased in Maine. Currently, we are traveling from Maine to Florida and beyond.
